June opened in 2018, but our story began years before when our founder, Jimmy Truong, quit college and set out to learn all he could about roasting. He traveled extensively, bumping elbows and clinking mugs with anyone who might help him learn how to source and roast sustainable and tasty beans. His hard work paid off as he quickly established a following that lovingly bullied him into opening a café and storefront in 2022.

Our café is our love letter to Birmingham. It’s our way of serving our friends and neighbors, and if we’re being honest, we love having company as we work. As a team, our taste in coffee is particular, our love for caffeine is strong, and our dedication to determining the ideal roasting conditions for every bean is the reason we wake up every day.
