Sourced from our friends at Unblended. This coffee is the result of an exciting movement in Caicedo, where a group of young producers began their journey into specialty coffee just five years ago. It all started when Danilo Flórez generously shared Chiroso seeds with them—an invitation to explore differentiated varieties and the world of specialty coffee. With the mentorship of Elkin Diosa, they began learning about processing, and this lot marks one of their very first harvests. It’s a washed coffee, fermented in cherry for 48 hours. The result is a sweet and floral cup with subtle tropical fruit notes.
We nerd out when we get new coffee in. We work closely with our green importers and coffee producers to not only ensure our coffee’s freshness and quality, but to make sure it’s responsibly sourced.
These beans have legs
Once we get our hands on the coffees, our team tests and tastes multiple methods of roasting to find the best way to serve up its natural flavors and notes.
